This video is short clip from of the larger more expanded “Wooden Work Movement Repair” course. A few wood works tips for assembly are explained in this video. Assembly and disassembly are critical parts of the wooden movement repair and restoration process for these clocks. So many wood clock movements in the past have suffered from poor quality repairs.
With proper repair knowledge, many discarded movements that were thought to be beyond repair, can now be restored. Hopefully, future repairs will be more historically accurate and be acceptably completed.
With proper repair knowledge, many of these wooden works restorations can be accomplished. Most of these clock movements have been in existence for approximately 200 years. These should continue to provide enjoyment and service for at least that much longer with proper restoration. It can be easy and simple. This is a short introduction version of the long detailed explanation in the complete full length 4+ hour clock repair course “Wooden Works Movement Repair”. There are many more lessons and tips discussed in the full length course.
