Transcript: My name's Janel Mayer. I'm a Family Nurse Practitioner, and I started out in primary care seeing patients who would come in with typical symptoms of depression, and weight gain, and that type of thing, and they were being treated traditionally with antidepressants, and they weren't getting the results. When you look a little deeper it's because of the hormonal imbalances that are underlying that go without being treated.
Here at Defy we kind of take an integrative approach to the whole patient concept, and look at the bigger picture to see what's going on all the way across the board. Instead of just treating symptoms, we dig deeper, and see what's really going on with the patient, and treat from the bottom up.
