Went on an ultralight plane flight to Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon in the world, a few hours outside of Johannesburg. About 15 minutes into my flight, the engine puttered and then turned off completely. The pilot said "mayday, emergency landing imminent." We crashed into a nearby field, ending up nose down but with no injuries at all.
Got a GoPro video of the whole incident. The pilot has been flying for 27+ years and this is his first crash!
