July 10th marks National Lineworker Appreciation Day. A day when we honour the men and women across Canada who brave difficult and hazardous conditions from snowstorms to tornadoes to wildfires to keep the power flowing in your community. They are the highly trained men and women who preserve complex electricity grids across cities, provinces and territories. Often faced with working in extreme conditions, lineworkers are trained to work efficiently, safely and collaboratively to keep the lights on.
