When your bluetooth speaker does not charge up its battery, then it is not necessarily a bad battery or speaker. It could also be that the USB cable or the charger itself are broken.
This is what happened to me a few days ago.
By simply replacing the charging cable with a new micro-USB cable, I was able to fix the problem in no time.
If I hadn't had this idea, I would have gone to the store and bought a new (and expensive) bluetooth speaker.
The Usb cable did not show any images from the outside. It just did not work anymore for some reason. I also did not bend the cable excessively in the past. It usually was just sitting in the drawer, waiting to be used for charging my JBL Charge speaker.
