The K-SAM Pegasus short-range air defense system (CHUNMA) uses the Crotale EDIR all-weather short-range anti-air missile, which can be used to intercept low-flying anti-ship missiles and aircraft. Korea's first surface-to-air missile system, 'CHUNMA' is one of the breakthrough missile systems that has taken the Korean military's anti-aircraft defense system a step further. Together with BIHO, it contributes to strengthening anti-aircraft defense capacity. The K-SAM Pegasus (CHUNMA) is the Korean military's first short-range surface-to-air missile system to prepare for low-altitude air infiltration of enemies using complex mountainous terrain.
