Watch the I-74 Mississippi River Bridge project in the Quad Cities (Bettendorf and Davenport, Iowa and Moline Illinois) hit a major milestone in this EarthCam time-lapse. While there is much to be done before the first vehicle crosses the new bridge, seeing the arch stand tall across the Mississippi River for the first time was an historic moment. On May 6, 2020, the last 112 ton piece of the arch was lifted and set into place to complete the arch for the new westbound bridge. See it all in 4K resolution.
