Tonight I'm photographing cane toads with night vision. It's not something I've done before (i.e. wildlife photography in the dark), but I'm always up for a challenge.
Using a full spectrum converted Nikon Z30 and an IR illuminator allowed me to see in pitch darkness, which is really quite amazing.
Cane toads are an invasive species to a Australia and have decimated many native animal populations along their march across the country. Every Queensland backyard has cane toads lurking somewhere.
