Ability tips with gameplay examples! Top abilities showcase of use in melee combat against zealots, bosses, and legendary animals, and also against multiple enemies during raids and assaults. Gameplay for abilities Throwing Axe Fury (best of the abilities in Norway), Dive of the Valkyries (best of abilities in England), and Poison Strike (best of the hidden abilites).

Ability locations: Throwing Axe Fury ability book is in a cave southwest of Nottfall in Norway, and Dive of the Valkyries book of knowledge is in the Isle of Ely Monastery in Grantebridgescrire. Poison Strike is a secret ability, not found in abilities books or ability points. Like Fire Strike, it is a reward from the Hidden Ones Bureau in your settlement. To get it, collect and turn in 4 Order of the Ancients medallions.

Note if you already have all melee abilities assigned when you get a new one, that ability is greyed out. Abilities greyed out can be assigned to your ability bar on the abilities screen. You cannot have access to all abilities, only those on your abilities wheel, so chose wisely what abilities to map for use in combat.

More melee tips: both the Bear and Raven skill paths can serve as a melee skill tree. The Huldufolk armor that Eivor is wearing here is an example of one of the best melee armor sets, but there are several others. Paired with strong melee weapons and gear, these 3 abilities for melee attacks will give power to any melee build.
