🇺🇸 Despite experiencing significant family trauma at a young age, David overcame these obstacles, developing a sense of self-belief and resilience to tackle whatever challenges came his way. Securing a place at Ohio State University as a college athlete, David maintained a full course load, worked for the entrepreneurship school, and launched his startup company, FuzeMee.
🤳 David was inspired to build FuzeMee after observing that the more connected people were online, the more they felt disconnected and alone in real life – particularly in a college environment where students report loneliness and depression.
🫂 FuzeMee encourages and facilitates the transition back to in-person interactions, creating a happier student body.
🚀 In less than a year, FuzeMee has hired a team of seven employees, raised nearly $1m in funding, organically gained 22,000 users, and acquired nearly 40% of Ohio State's campus.
✨ With the Global Student Prize funds, David would extend FuzeMee to cover 250,000 more students using proven, cost-efficient user acquisition channels.
