주민등록증 안 챙겨도 스마트폰으로 간편하게 신분 확인
National ID cards may no longer be necessary for a lot of activities here in the nation, including banking.
From Wednesday a two-week trial run begins for an ID card that's stored on smartphones... with the existing Android app: Government 24.
It shows the same info as an ID, and can be verified if scanned.
With the same legal validity as a conventional ID card, it can be used for boarding planes, signing contracts and much more.
An app for iOS will be available later this week.
The service officially launches in mid-July.
