It's that time of year when I am concentrating on packing up items to be used as "filler" at the OCC Processing Center. If an item needs to be removed from a box because it is not permitted by Operation Christmas Child, we must replace it with filler from our processing bins. Also if a box is half full, we try to fill it up to make it a nice box for the child! OCC relies on corporate donations for filler and they do a great job! But if you have any leftover items you are not packing or find a great deal, donations of filler are welcome! Variety is needed! And I stress packing your shoeboxes first is preferred! But please consider sending filler to your processing center to help bless a box that needs it!

And ALL sizes of filler are needed! Small things, big stuffies, school supplies, etc.! The possibilities are endless! This video shows you one of my favorite small filler items that I found in my bin last year at the Baltimore PC!

So CONSOLIDATE and DONATE today! You can bless a box this year!

Visit occvolunteersignup.com to create or login to your account and sign up for a time to serve. If all time slots are full, join the waiting list and continue checking back for openings. If you have an account and are on the waiting list, you should receive a notification when a time slot is made available.
