The 1987 IFMAR Worlds at Pomona - California
This is my take on this 6th IFMAR World Championship, I have another video which is the 'offical' Worlds tape, I'll post that one in a few days too. As usual my video's show a different perspective, less racing action but more paddock and pitlane action. I am now glad I did as it shows much more about the racers and mechanics present at the race.
I already posted the 1986 McCoy race video on this track, the Ranch Pit Shop, that was like a pre-Worlds race which became mandatory for Worlds organizers a few years later.
US racers performed very well on home soil, top-4 qualifiers were Gil Losi Jr. on Serpent Quattro, 2nd Ralph Burch Jr. on Associated/Paris, 3rd Rody Roem on Serpent Quattro and 4th Tony Neisinger on Assciated/Paris.
'RePete' Fusco became the 6th IFMAR World Champion, racing a Paris powered Associated RC500
I hope you like my take, many familiar faces from the US and Europe!.
Enjoy!
