But here’s a fun fact you might not know: Borough Market was originally established by a group of monks who were given the market’s land by the Archbishop of Canterbury. That’s right – the monks were some of the first vendors, and they would trade goods from their abbey. Today, you can still taste that rich history in every bite of cheese, every slice of bread, and every crafted delicacy that this market has to offer."
