STEP BY STEP:
00:00 Intro
1. 00:05 Remove the wheel.
2. 00:14 Recommended: Always wear nitrile gloves when working with DOT fluid.
3. 00:17 Remove the brake pads.
4. 00:31 Spread the pistons with a PLASTIC tyre lever. Do not use metal tyre levers!
5. 00:40 Insert the bleed block by rotating it depending on the number of pistons (2 or 4).
6. 00:47 Set the brake lever in a horizontal position and tighten.
7. 00:55 Set the contact point adjustment knob all the way out.
8. 01:02 Turn the contact point adjustment knob counter clockwise to set the brake lever 8 cm away from the center of the handlebars.
9. 01:09 Fill the lever end syringe with 5 ml of DOT fluid. Fill the caliper end syringe with 15 ml of DOT fluid.
10. 01:36 DEGASSING: First, close the clamp. Pull the plunger 2-3 times so tiny air bubbles trapped inside the brake fluid raise to the top. Open the clamp. Carefully push out all the air from the syringe and the tube. Catch the excess fluid in the cloth. Close the clamp.
11. 02:08 REPEAT COMPLETE DEGASSING ALSO FOR THE LEVER END SYRINGE.
12. 02:31 Remove the rubber cover of the bleed port (Bleeding Edge type port).
13. 02:34 Use allen key no.4 to initially release/open the port. Do not fully open!
14. 02:38 Push in the caliper end syringe until you hear the click.
15. 02:42 Open the port by turning the assembly counterclockwise half a turn. Leave the clamp closed.
16. 02:46 Remove the lever bleed port screw. Attach the lever end syringe. Do not overtighten.
17. 02:59 Open the clamp on the caliper end syringe. Turn the assembly counterclockwise half a turn.
18. 03:07 While the lever end syringe clamp is still CLOSED, press the lever 2-3 times.
19. 03:12 Open the clamp on the lever end syringe.
20. 03:18 Simultaneously PUSH the caliper end syringe plunger while PULLING the plunger of the lever end syringe.
21. 03:32 Reverse the direction of the fluid. Simultaneously PUSH the lever end syringe plunger while PULLING the plunger of the caliper end syringe.
22. 03:41 Finish the Push-Pull process by pushing the fluid UP.
23. 03:45 Close the clamp on the lever end syringe. Leave clamp on the caliper open.
24. 03:49 Fix the brake lever all the way to the grip by using the velcro strap.
25. 03:56 PULL the plunger on the caliper end syringe to additionally degas brakes.
26. 04:07 Simultaneously PUSH the plunger of the caliper end syringe while releasing the brake lever.
27. 04:18 Close the bleed port by turning the assembly clockwise. Pull out the caliper end syringe.
28. 04:23 Open the clamp on the lever end syringe. Push and pull the plunger of the lever end syringe 2-3 times.
29. 04:40 Close the clamp and unscrew the lever end syringe. Attach the lever bleed port screw.
30. 04:53 Clean thoroughly with brake cleaner.
31. 05:01 Remove the bleed block. Clean the caliper thoroughly with brake cleaner.
32. 05:18 Install the brake pads. Secure the brake pads.
33. 05:34 Insert the rubber plug.
34. 05:37 Reinstall the wheel. Adjust the brake caliper if necessary.
35. 06:00 Press the lever 2-3 times. Set your desired pad contact position.
36. 06:11 Readjust the brake lever to your desired position.
