Tolo is a Greek Beach resort, close to Athens and packed in the Summer with both Greek and foreign Tourists.
Located 2 hours from Athens, and 15 minutes from Nafplio, it is very popular with Greek tourists, being easily accessible for a weekend or longer.
The Acropolis of Asine sits right inbetween 2 fabulous beaches, Tolo Beach and Kastraki (Asine) Beach. It dates back some 4000 years and has both Mycenaean and Hellenic history as well as World War 2 gun emplacements.
Tolo itself is a bustling tourist, seaside resort town with many good hotels, restaurants and bars, plus amenities such as hire cars, boat hire etc.
There is a harbour which plays host to tourist sail boats travelling the Aegean in the summer. It also has a ferry which takes trips to the Greek Islands of Spetses and Hydra. Spetses was the location for some of the shots in the Glass Onion, the latest Knives out mystery starring Daniel Craig.
The natural harbour is apparently amazing for Scuba Diving, with the seabed littered with wrecks from the last 2000 years, and many accessible caves also there for exploring. The waters are calm, safe and clear.
As well as diving, sailing and the beach there are also water-sports available in the summer months, including water skiing and banana boating.
