I worked on this song for DJ Moey's "One Nation Tape" to try to get it to be as polished as possible, but at the time when I was remaking the beat from scratch and synching the acapella the thing that really bothered me at the time was that the acapella for the OG is DROWNED in reverb. My homeboy JoeCool let me know that the vocal extraction program that we use now has a "reverb removal" setting now which is exactly what I've been waiting on to be able to really clean up vocals. I also decided to differentiate this version from the one that's on the "One Nation Tape" by showing some love to the Retail Version since it was also produced by the late great Johnny J by recreating a few of the sounds from it to blend it with this on the intro and outro.
