With six stunning mountain ranges and the sweep of the Bow Valley before you, views from the Sulphur Mountain summit are nothing short of breathtaking.
Sanson's Peak
Follow in the footsteps of Norman Sanson, who walked to the top of Sulphur Mountain weekly for 30 years to check the weather until 1945, when he was 84 years old. At the peak, step back in time and experience the Sulphur Mountain Cosmic Ray Station — a National Historic Site of Canada.
Sulphur Mountain Boardwalk
Several scenic hiking trails lead away from the summit complex. One of the most popular is the self-guided interpretive Sulphur Mountain Boardwalk to Sanson's Peak. More adventurous hikers will want to try the South East Ridge Trail — a route that runs along the ridge of the mountain to the south, taking you to Sulphur Mountain's true summit. (I didn’t take that!)
