Tapping power from the doorbell transformer for closet LED lights
Leave Comments below
-Estimated time is under 1 hour using existing doorbell transformer.
-Be Safe! Turn off power when accessing he components, properly isolate the installed parts and be care about specs of the components you use.
-Keeping within specs is important. The IKEA Norrfly is rated for 24 VDC, the one I am using runs at 28 VDC when LEDs are off and 24 VDC on.
-A DMM is useful to adjust the potentiometer (POT) if using the Buck Boost. If you are unsure about using a DMM, this may be too hard.
-Use a 50VDC rated Capacitor on the DC side, remember that electrolytic caps are polarized (Only can be positive in one direction)
DISCLAIMER: Follow at your Own Risk. I am not responsible for your actions.
DANGER: Voltage can Kill - Follow best safety practices and use proper PPE. Disconnect power to device during install.
WARNING: Improper installation may pose a shock and fire hazard. If unsure, then stop. Better safe than sorry.
