The Illinois Senate Health Committee held a hearing on Monday, March 15, into the state's COVID-19 vaccine rollout.
There was a noticeable positive shift in tone from the last hearing a few weeks ago. That tone shift was backed up with recent vaccine milestones from Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike.
According to Ezike, the state is now doing much better with administering the vaccines, reaching a record 150,000 daily total last week and now averaging at over 100,000 doses per day.
