The Salinas/Watsonville, California strawberry season is winding down; yields, quality, and shelf-life are declining. Late summer/early fall berry supplies out of Santa Maria are becoming a better option for coverage. Color, size, and berry shape will vary and supplies are more plentiful. Markon inspectors are monitoring supplies in both growing regions and will update further as needed.
