As more Canadians get vaccinated and more COVID-19 restrictions ease, travel is making a big comeback in this country and around the world. But for many of Canada's travel agencies, the rebound is coming too late after suffering many financial setbacks during the pandemic.
More than 800 storefront agencies are now permanently closed across the country, and the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) estimates that agencies and agents are still seeing a revenue decline of 95 percent.
As Caryn Lieberman reports, many more of them might not survive much longer without help from the Canadian government.
