Strengthening the education sector is important, particularly after the Covid-19 pandemic exposed gaps in the system.
This emerged during a three-day conference in Bloemfontein, which brought together various stakeholders to discuss inclusive education.
They looked at some of the existing challenges in the sector, including the shortage of special schools, depression and the high rate of suicide among learners.
