"There are many similarities between the Double Reverse Spin and the Double Reverse Overspin. The "overspin" refers to an extra reverse pivot danced at the end of the figure which will lead us to turn half a turn more, or 180 degrees more than we normally would in a Double Reverse Spin. By adding an extra pivot at the end of the figure we are actually adding an extra step and this will change the timing of the Double Reverse Spin. The timing that we're using in this demonstration is: One And Two And Three. However you could also dance the same figure with a different timing, and that timing would be One Two And Three And.
Much like the Double Reverse Spin, the Overspin version must stay in Closed Position for the duration of the figure. We're now moving on to the lady's demonstration where you can see a clearer perspective of the lady's steps. It's actually quite difficult to dance this figure by yourself as a lady as if the steps are very fast. And now for the man. It's important that the pivot action occurs on the standing foot, so for the man this is on the left foot."
