Have you ever seen a DC-3 on floats? This bird is at the Greenville Airport in Maine. During World War II, US Army built about 50 of them to transport troops to remote islands in the Pacific.
The man behind this vintage aircraft is Max Folsom. He first bought the floats in the 1980s, searched for an aircraft, and found a C-53, a lighter version of DC-3 with wooden floors.
Later she was fitted with 1820-76 DS high-power radial engines and returned to the sky. Enjoy the amazing sound of this vintage piece.
