Residents in Canterbury are infuriated after they saw binmen taking all their separated recycling and dumping it into one bin.
The waste workers were caught dumping glass, plastic and paper into a larger bin before taking it to the lorry - despite the council saying it will refuse to collect unseparated recycling.
The local authority launched a crackdown last year alongside a campaign to educate residents about which items go in which bins.
City Council spokesman Rob Davies confirmed an investigation had been launched into the incidents and issued an apology.
