This video is a quick demo of the concept of an orbit’s right ascension of the ascending node. Describes angle between the i_hat unit vector and the point (known as the “ascending node”) where a satellite’s orbital path crosses from Earth’s southern hemisphere to its northern hemisphere.
RAAN is measured starting from the i_hat unit vector around Earth’s equatorial plane to the ascending node of the orbit in question.
