Folks, I did a video about a year ago on how well Otocinclus catfish eat algae. In a way this is like part 2 of that video, as I wanted to emphasize how effective Nerite Snails and Otos can be with not only routine cleaning but also battling algae blooms.
After my Krib fry tank was set up and cycled, I went through a nice beneficial bacteria bloom, but it was the brown diatom algae bloom that was larger than usual - that's when I hired my "diatom destroyers," the Nerite Snails and Otos. Guess I'm going to have to give them a raise....you'll see how they did in the video.
Also have an update on the "kids," the Krib fry who have all, apparently, joined the new fraternity, Kappa Kribma Fry.
