In episode 305 of the IKEA Home Tour, the Squad helps a single dad and his two kids transform their boring outdoor patio into an extended living space.

With plenty of space but a lack of functional furniture, Phil Costas and his kids, Keriann, and Kyle, felt that they weren’t taking full advantage of the California weather on their outdoor patio. Phil wants to make it an extension of his home, but he doesn’t quite know where to start.

To increase Phil’s table space for grilling and serving his family and friends, a utility cart next to the grill and FALSTER outdoor table and chairs were positioned throughout the patio. Layering area rugs underneath the flexible ARHOLMA outdoor sectional makes the adjustable seating even cozier, creating the ideal outdoor living room. The Squad also combined LED solar-powered lighting with the shady BAGGÖN umbrella and SVARTÖ base, giving the new patio a comfortable ambiance day or night.

In the end, the IKEA Home Tour Squad delivered with plenty of outdoor patio ideas to help this family create an outdoor oasis with form and function, including separate areas for cooking, eating and lounging.
