Injecting Botox into the bladder helps symptoms of urgency, frequency, and urine leakage. The procedure itself takes 5 to 10 minutes. This patient was under twilight anesthesia, however, Botox can also be injected in an office setting. Numbing solution can be placed into the bladder 15 minutes prior to injections to minimize discomfort. Results start to kick in within one week and last for about six months. Therefore repeat injections are necessary.
