The Congress has accused the BJP of attempting to destabilize its coalition government in Jharkhand after three of its MLAs were allegedly discovered with a large sum of cash in West Bengal's Howrah, claiming the saffron party's game plan is to repeat what it did in Maharashtra.
Based on a tip, police stopped an SUV carrying Congress MLAs Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachchap, and Naman Bixal Kongari on National Highway-16 in Ranihati, Howrah, and reportedly discovered a large quantity of cash inside.
"The BJP's 'Operation Lotus' in Jharkhand stands exposed in Howrah," Jairam Ramesh stated. The objective for 'Hum Do' in Delhi is to replicate what they accomplished in Maharashtra by establishing an ED pair in Jharkhand."
