Oct. 25, 2022: The New Japan and Changing U.S.-Japan Relations – Insider Impressions from Tokyo
A lot has changed in Japan since the 1990s, when policy-makers in Washington D.C. last paid very close attention to the country. As Asian power dynamics are evolving, how has the interaction at the State Department level changed? What does the newly emerging partnership look like?
Speakers:
• John D. Nylin, Minister-Counselor for Political Affairs, U.S. Embassy Tokyo
• Ulrike Schaede, Professor and Director of the Japan Forum for Innovation and Technology, GPS UC San Diego
