One of the most common questions we get: What are the signs of a kitty having diabetes? In this short video, I share briefly about experience and what to look for.
💡 I always recommend getting a fructosamine test for a clear diagnosis, this is standard... A vet with experience will be doing this test for sure. And if you think you’re headed toward a diabetes diagnosis, start training to test glucose at home before insulin is prescribed. This gives you a huge advantage—remember, you never want to give insulin blindly.
Quick note: I make a small joke in the video about vets being crazy—it’s just a joke! Our vet has been an amazing support on our diabetes journey, and we trust them completely. Adonis, however, is not a fan of vet visits. 😹”
