Paytm's parent company, one97 communications, has sold its 7.2 percent stake in japan's digital payments firm, paypay corporation. The decision, announced in a regulatory filing on december 7, is part of paytm’s strategy to exit non-core assets and refocus on core payments and financial services. According to the filing, the company's singapore arm sold all its stake in paypay to softbank vision fund 2 entity.
