I'm attempting to improve basement door function by lubricating the basement door latches and handles with PTFE dry lube. I show you where I apply the lubrication and show the improved latch performance.
I'll also detail how the latches are attached to the door and possible maintenance and replacement considerations.
While I'm working on the basement I also do a minimal amount of lubrication of a tight gray valve with spray silicone. Since I can't dump my tanks, on account of being winterized, I'm unsure of how effective what I do in mid-January is going to be if I can't pull the valve and lubricate the entire valve shaft.
