How to live your perfect day every day.
How can you live your perfect day every day? Well, we all go through ups and down in life so your perfect day, first of all, I don't know if you've ever done an exercise to understand and know what is your perfect day? Maybe we should start with that. My question would be what is your perfect day looking like?
If you were to wake up in the morning, what is the first thing that you would be doing? If you had a choice to do anything you wanted, what would that be? I think in that regard, Masa and I ... Many years ago, we did our first exercise of our perfect day. The reason we did that is because obviously, we were following the advice of our mentors at that time.
Second of all, what did they do for us was to give us an idea, an exact idea of what our vision was. Once you have your vision, that's your mental picture of how your ideal day looks like. Then it's amazing what happens. Then everything you do subconsciously and consciously is going to be towards achieving that goal.
How you can live your perfect day, it's all about working towards that goal of waking up in the morning and doing that thing that you always wanted to do and then following by something else that you always wanted to do and until you get there, I think your ideal day is all about getting up in the morning and doing something that focuses on that state of mind that is going to enable you to actually achieve it.
Yes, we all wake up sometimes and we feel a little bit tired. Sometimes we don't feel like we had enough rest maybe. Maybe there's circumstances the day before that happened, but the most important thing, I think for Masa and I, when we wake up in the morning is to understand that every day, when we wake up in the morning is a brand new opportunity as an entrepreneur to create a day that is a perfect day as it is.
No matter whether you have already achieved that goal or you have not, it's about if you have achieved that goal, what is your next goal? How you can enjoy that present moment or the things and be grateful for what you have achieved, first of all and how you can then move on and say, "What are the things I'm going to be doing today that are most productive?" If you haven't achieved your ideal day and your perfect day yet, you can still have a great day. You can have your own perfect day. Again, it starts by being grateful for what you have achieved.
Once you have done that, one of the things that Masa and I do every single day, we have a gratefulness diary that we bought in one of the shops here in Brisbane. Every morning, as soon as we wake up, we write down the three things that we are most grateful for. The first day, it's easy. The second day becomes a little more difficult because one of the things that we do is you can't repeat the same thing that we did yesterday. That makes you think a little bit further and going a little bit deeper on what you're really, really grateful for.
That puts you in a state of mind where you start the day in a positive way. After that, probably things can develop in a very different way, whereas if you get up in the morning, you have a look to your phone and sometimes what happens is we check our Facebook wall and with see this person and that person and it looks like everybody else is having a better life then we do. That makes us feel that we are not good enough. As you probably can see already, that doesn't make you feel that good, right? So if it doesn't make you feel that good, what do you think the day's going to start looking like? Panic mode. You don't feel so good and when you start your day like that, maybe things are not going to unfold the way you probably want to.
Make sure that every time, every day when you wake up in the morning, you find a way to find at least three things that you're grateful for. It could be anything, but make sure, the most important thing is that you feel those things that you're grateful for. From then on, you follow the path that you need to follow to achieve those dreams.
