For starters, carefully unpack your new mantle shelf from the box. Now we’re ready to begin installation…
Place the shelf on the wall at your desired height. Assuring the shelf is level, draw a line along the top edge. Then, remove the shelf, and measure down 2 and 3/4 inches from your marking. Install the mounting bracket with the top edge angled down, towards the wall. Please note, for some styles, like the Bedford, and the Conchord, the bracket is square, not angled.
Now you’re ready to hang your shelf. Insert the shelf over the mounting bracket, and slide it down until it’s tight against the wall. Then, nail through the top of the shelf into the mounting bracket, and you’re all set, it’s that easy!
