After 30 years of service, during which it has converted 57 million tonnes of iron into steel, BOS convertor 1 is about to be replaced.

Tata Steel's Head of PR, Tim Rutter paid Andrew Thomas and Steve Lott a visit in Port Talbot's BOS Plant to find out what's involved with replacing such a vital piece of kit, and why this project will be a little more challenging than 2019's replacement of convertor 2.
