The Loeriesfontein Bulk Water System will provide a sustainable long-term water supply for the Hantam Municipality community, in the Northern Cape. The project, estimated at R128 million, is also meant to improve the quality of water supplied to the community. The area is facing a crippling drought, with the Kareedam, the major dam in the area, being completely empty for years now.
