Duration is 60 seconds plus you get extra seconds for some gems you clear.
To get a shockwave, you need to clear 4 lines at once with the linear tetromino.
Keep in mind that tetris gems round does not end if your tetrominos touches to the ceiling; this only causes clearance of upper half screen lines. Game ends only when duration ends.
