This could be a common issue on 180sx, 240sx, and Silvia’s. I’ve been told the ignition switch on the steering column sometimes starts to go out. Looks like I discovered more then just a bad switch?

If you’re plagued with starter issues and tried new battery, power lines, grounds, and new starter but still have issues try this out.
