UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres strongly condemned the suicide bombing at a political rally in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan, which claimed the lives of at least 54 people, a UN spokesman said on Monday.
The UN chief called on the Pakistani authorities to bring those responsible to justice, Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for Guterres, told a regular press briefing.
"The secretary-general extends his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a prompt recovery to those injured," Haq said.
