The Conservatives wanted to build 200 houses on John Shennan – the only big bit of green, open space in Moulsham Lodge. When the Lib Dems took control of Chelmsford City Council in 2019, they saved it from development. Lib Dem candidate, Simon Goldman, wants to increase the protection that taking it out of the Tories’ Local Plan has given it.
