Why is the quality so bad? Long story.... It captures in 5.7k, but that's not a standard 16:9 5.7k, it's 360 5.7k, so it's like looking at 720 or so from a single view point. Final Cut Pro X won't deal with 5.7k resolution so you have to export as 4k (again, 4k is awesome, but... it's 4k in 360. Reducing it again). The stabilisation is working overtime with the unit on the handlebars and the complex/detailed scenery. Near the end when I'm out in the open on smooth road the quality really picks up. The technology just isn' there yet.
