Another twist to the shocking Sushant Singh Rajput suicide this morning is the startling revelation reportedly made by his father K. K. Singh in Patna that the family had no idea their actor son was under depression.
Obviously, the family did not think Sushant was suicidal. He reportedly went to Patna in February and then accompanied his father to Purnea in Bihar where the family has an ancestral home.
After that, Sushant stopped taking calls from his family. His sister Ritu Singh, who was close to him, found herself also cut off from Sushant in the last six months. The father was informed of Sushant’s suicide by the actor’s friends.
The Bandra police, which is investigating the shocking suicide of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has seized the actor’s smartphone and is checking his call data records to see who the actor was in touch with last.
The police want to know who the actor, who was found hanging at 8.34 o’clock this morning, had spoken to last and are scrolling through his Whatsapp messages to see if any light on his suicide might come out of them.
Meanwhile, even as a flurry of condolences make social media news, the body of Sushant Singh Rajput has been taken for postmortem. It will be tested for Covid-19 first. It is likely the body will be taken to Patna for the final rites.
