Exercise Cope North 2022 brought together United States Air Force (USAF), Japan Air Self-Defense Force (Koku-Jieitai) and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) personnel and aircraft to enhance humanitarian assistance and disaster relief response.
Conducted from Andersen Air Force Base in Guam from February 2 to 18, 2022, the exercise is focused on deepening relationships between each nation and strengthening interoperability to ensure the delivery of air power in the Indo-Pacific region, when required.
The Royal Australian Air Force deployed F-35A Lightning II, KC-30A multi-role tanker transport, C-27J Spartan and E-7A Wedgetail aircraft, a contingency response squadron, as well as support and operations personnel.
Royal Australian Air Force personnel deploying for Exercise Cope North 2022 were fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to their departure and will comply with restrictions as required.
