In this video, I am making Shabu shabu, Japanese style hotpot (Fondu) with thinly sliced beef (or pork).This is a very savory and yet easy dish, which we often make in the winter, because it warms up from inside.
I am also showing two types of sauces; Ponzu sauce and sesame sauce.
Ingredients for Shabu-shabu (1 Serving)
Sliced Beef (or pork) 200g
Nappa cabbage 3-5 leaves
Shitake/Oyster mushrooms 3-5 pcs
Carrots 1/2
Scallions 2-4
Tofu 1/2
Ponzu sauce
- Citrus juice 2 Tbsp
- Soy sauce 2 Tbsp
- Sugar 1/2 Tsp
Sesame sauce
- Tahini 2 Tbsp
- Soy sauce 2 Tbsp
- Vinegar 2 Tbsp
- Sugar 2 Tbsp
- Sake (Water) 2 Tbsp
- Sesame seeds 1 Tbsp
