Nutopia 2.0
Mohawk Group’s ongoing quest for sustainable innovation delivers Nutopia 2.0, an expansion of the award-winning Living Product carpet plank system inspired by the urban fabric of our lives. As we consider how humankind coexists with buildings, streets and other infrastructure, we must also consider how we as humans coexist with nature. Mohawk Group’s Pattern Perfect precision tufting platform brings to life three new styles that double down on a commitment to responsible manufacturing practices. At the intersection of design and sustainability, Nutopia 2.0 embodies Mohawk Group’s commitment to dematerialization and a more restorative, carbon neutral future. Mohawk Group collaborated with Gensler, serving as product design consultant, for the Nutopia 2.0 collection.

Nutopia Matrix
Complementing Nutopia, Nutopia Matrix presents two lower profile flat loop patterns that also adhere to the stringent requirements of the Living Product Challenge Petal Certification. Urban Transit has an active, shifting pattern, while Urban Terrain offers an overall gestural pattern. Both planks are made with a mix of heathered and solid yarns to emphasize depth of pattern. These two styles also feature Mohawk Group’s newest generation and highly sustainable, Red List Free backing, EcoFlex™ Matrix, which is dematerialized to use less raw materials and energy to minimize the product’s footprint.
