Julie Sasse discusses her journey ascending the ranks of the art world, traveling from her Illinois roots to Arizona in pursuit of her dream of being a leader in the art field. Julie worked with some of the most distinguished Native American artists including Fritz Scholder, TC Cannon, Larry Rivers and was the gallery manager for the cutting edge Elaine Horwitz Gallery in Santa Fe, Palm Springs, Sedona and Phoenix. Julie left the retail world in 1995, earned a Ph.D. and became the chief curator of the well respected Tucson Museum of Art. Julie has curated nearly100 museum exhibits including shows on Henri Matisse, Deborah Butterfield, and Ai Weiwei.
