A quick look at the Retro-Bit's Tribute64 wireless controller for Nintendo 64, and also most things that take USB controllers. In short, it's my favorite N64 controller ever, but it probably adds a bit over a frame of lag.
I did not measure or notice any lag (and since I only do racing games on N64, it'd be hard to notice), but 1+ frame is just how wireless retro-bits have historically performed. Eventually, there should be some lag tests with the USB receiver connected to a MiSTer at one (or both) of the links below:

And yes, in the instructions I saw the handy macros to swap the shoulder buttons, but no, they didn't work :(
No, I didn't get it for free, and none of my videos are sponsored. This time you might be tempted to be suspicious of that, since I tend to crap on products a bit, but this one got a bit of a pass. I actually like it fine, and probably won't be using anything else on N64 for at least the next few years.
